Live mode is meant to provide an environment for testing hardware and to see if you like PC-BSD. If you do, you should consider installing PC-BSD either onto the computer's hard drive or into a virtual environment such as VirtualBox.
お試し版的な位置づけとなっており，アプリケーションやパッチを追加インストールすることは考慮されていない．日常的に使うLive UNIXとしては使えない感じ．
Image Writer for Windows 問題

"Image Writer for Windows"はどうもくせもので，変なエラーが出ることがある．パスに日本語文字などが入っているときの対処がまともにできていないようなので，実行形式，および書き込み対象のイメージファイルともに日本語文字を含まないパス上に置いて実行すると，最初に1回エラーメッセージはでるものの，それを無視して操作すると無事書き込みを開始してくれた．書き込み対象ファイルが日本語文字を含むパス上に置いてあると，書き込み操作時に2回目のエラーメッセージが出て書き込みが開始されない．
なお，実行形式ファイルが日本語を含むパス上にあることが問題になるかどうかはちゃんと確認はしていない．

- I had the same error message when trying to write at image from a shared folder on vmware. The problem was due to the space character in the path to the img file: \\vmware-host\Shared Folders\scratch\iii.img. I had yo copy the file to the local c:\ drive so that I could refer to a path without the space character.
